Practice: Stress Management and the Labyrinth
In this workshop, Laura will teach you to analyze stress patterns and understand how your stress response is triggered You will learn what steps can be taken to get out of the downward spiral of the flight-or-fight response, and you will experience using the labyrinth to invoke the relaxation response and reset.
This course includes a guided visualization. Here is a note about that from Laura:
"I use this visualization before I begin a sacred practice, or before entering the labyrinth. I sometimes find it beneficial to repeat it at the center of the labyrinth. Following a labyrinth walk, I return to the tree image, ground myself again and then visualize the ball of light in my heart expanding until I am enveloped by a golden egg or golden sphere. This is an image of protection. Checking to make sure the egg or sphere is grounded, I add roses or other protective symbols around it, setting the intention of sending all non-beneficial energies back to their source with love. Whenever I start or end my day with the visualisation, I complete it with this protection step. This is an adaptation of a meditation technique I learned while training with Hans Andeweg, co-founder ECOIntention and author of In Resonance with Nature, and an energy clearing practice I learned while training with Lena Stevens, co-founder of The Power Path."
