Judith shares her experience as a steward for an Earth Treasure Vase she planted on pilgrimage in Washington, D.C. Since 2021, Judith has been involved with Alliance for the Earth that has a mission of burying Earth Treasure Vases in significant places around the globe. Its founder, Cynthia Jurs, joins Judith in the conversation, recounting how she was given this ancient Tibetan Practice when she asked a venerable Lama in Nepal what she could do to help to protect and restore the Earth.
Together Judith and Cynthia discuss the practice of Earth Treasure Vases and their pilgrimage to Washington DC at the bequest of labyrinth luminary Marge McCarthy. Labyrinths were intrinsic in the rituals of preparation and planting of the vase—at our Friday Handheld Walks, in Chicago at the Parliament of World Religions, and on pilgrimage in Washington, D.C. Cynthia also relates how this practice is part of creating a “Gaia Mandala” formed by over 90 vases on every continent. Her memoir, Summoned by the Earth, telling her full story, has just been published by Prospecta Press. This webinar was recorded live on Zoom on Monday, August 26th.
